Just an
update on Lizzy. She is doing wonderful. She has fallen in love with
my husband. She sits with him, follows him everywhere. I am so
pleased for both of them. He gives her the shot every morning and
evening and they have bonded. She has put on weight and is filling out
nicely. Tomorrow is her vet appointment for regulating her insulin. I
will let you know what they decide. Again thank you for such a
wonderful little dog. Even Mickey loves her. He shares his toys daily

I have adopted 2 furry friends from IPPRA. One was rescued from a
puppy mill, and has turned out to be one of the best behaved and wonderful dogs
I have ever had. I am very appreciative of the dedication, and thoughtfulness
that they put into the rescued animals and the adoption process.

We adopted our furry son, Patton, from IPPRA in 2007 - he has changed our lives in a way we never imagined. IPPRA does wonderful work and has helped countless dogs find loving homes. We will continue to support Petite Paws as much as we are able to, but they need more help in order to continue their wonderful work."

They are a responsible group of dedicated people who really care about the little dogs. They are truly dedicated to serve and protect each little animal. Also, these volunteers are interested in teaching each potential forever family about the new pet, its breed & little quirks that the new pet may have. They screen for safety of the animal and do follow up calls to see if both the family & the pet have any issues or settling in difficulties. These beautiful volunteers spend countless hours to find, rescue, nurse & locate funds so that the helpless animals will have a chance at happiness & safety. Petite Paws has made a profound impact on this area with the care & love they show to the rescued animals & to the families who are lucky enough to adopt a forever pet.

IPPRA is responsible for giving my wife and me the greatest gift we could ever receive, our Patton. At that point, our house officially became a home. Please support these wonderful people in any way that you can. Thank You!"

IPPRA does a wonderful job finding forever homes for these precious little dogs. They are caring and dedicated and work tirelessly to better the lives of such deserving animals. We adopted our dog Autumn from IPPRA and she is such a blessing. This is a great organization!

I want to provide you an update on Buddy (formerly Possum). He is doing fabulous and has adjusted to his new home with exceptional ease. The Christmas holiday was very hectic and he did not do well that one day with all the activity, however we have all bonded and he is such a wonderful dog. He is not only adorable and loving, but he is so smart and he minds very well. He knows what NO means, come, outside and in. He is 100% potty trained, and stays in his crate during the day (my husband comes home for an hour at noon) and we are home by 4-5PM. He also sleeps in the crate (expect for short naps that I just couldn't resist the last week or so). I will be taking him to our vet within the next 2 weeks to have his physical and get established. Thank you so much for bringing him into our lives.

It's nice to know other people are as crazy about their dogs as I am. Our Daisy just celebrated her one year anniversary with us this month and she is such a joy to us, we are truly blessed to have her in our family. My husband says she has the best sense of humor. We are so thankful for IPPRA for all they do and most of all for entrusting Daisy in our care. She just had her one year check up at the vet and he said she is doing great. We love her to pieces and recommend adopting to anyone and everyone we come in contact with.
Peace and love to everyone who give all these precious babies a loving home.

What a wonderful sentiment. I, too, have adopted from IPPRA....little Sophie (formerly Candy) just over a year ago. She is priceless to me. I ouldn't imagine life without her. Thanks, "Rescue Angels" for saving my little angel and allowing her to join my home.

We are forever grateful to Petite Paws and to Connie and Gary for rescuing our little Izzy (formerly known as Squirt.) She was a little puppymill girl. She is the love of our life and the best little dog. I know there is a special place in heaven for all of you people in this wonderful organization Thanks for everything.

My introduction to Petite Paws was when I applied to adopt Izzy. I was so impressed with the group I joined--I wanted to be a part of this mission to save these little ones--it's a tough fight sometimes, and sometimes we all get discouraged by the rest of the world's attitude--but it's a fight well worth fighting.

We recently celebrated our 1st birthday with our little Kate (originally known as Prisse) from IPPRA. She is a 7-year old yorkie and had been raised in a puppymill. She is loving her new home, her new buddy Bert and enjoying running around the yard and in the rain. We thank our IPPRA organization for saving her and you all for opening up your hearts and homes to other fur babies.
On a side note- Kate has an ear infection and the doc seems to "think" there is a growth in her ear that might be a tumor (ouch!) She is taking meds right now and ointment in her ear (which she HATES!) for the inflammation.
Things seem to be looking better and she goes back to the doctor this weekend so keep her in your prayers : )

I get sentimental sometimes too! It's not hard when you look into their beautiful eyes and you just realize how lucky you are that you have this beautiful creature that wanted to come home with you. I also love the organization and everything they stand for. In March of this year I adopted little Ginger. She is about 12 1/2 years old. She had to have one of her eyes removed and she is now blind in the other eye, but she is the greatest little dog that ever existed! She hasn't been with us long, but if you came into her home you would see a dog that you'd swear was here her whole life. My husband & I have adopted 12 dogs over the years, we now have seven, and Petite Paws is the best one I have come across. The hours the volunteers put in is amazing along with all the other work they do and their home life. I am glad to know there is an organization that truly cares about their babies. I was most impressed that they came to my home in IL to do a home visit, and really glad my other dogs were on their best behavior. Gayle came and saw what we had to offer Ginger. I was so happy the day my adoption was approved! I am the lucky one! I will look out at my dogs playing and they make me laugh. They are the one thing in my life that bring me complete joy because with them there are no strings. Just love em', feed em', potty em' and give them water and they are putty in your hands. Oh! Can't forget the cookies! I remember every day how lucky I am to have a pack that is so well behaved and they just love each other. My dogs give each other kisses! It is sweet. I thank God everyday for entrusting me with these beautiful creatures! So, on that note, you are not alone in your sentiments.

I think he loves it here. My "welcome home from work - greeting" is one for the books. He knows the backyard and the house now. He bonded right away with Shad and Maddi. He even sleeps with his head on Shad's butt, which is what my late Toto did. They have so many similar mannerisms. He has filled a void.

Just wanted to give you an update. Things are going very well. Spice took a turn for the worse Sunday evening and was up all night hardly able to breathe. I took her to the vet in the morning and now she's gone. Cameo, with her red hair, spunky personality and homeless history is now called Annie, as in the little orphan. It sounds like Cami and she responds well. I'm trying to get a rhythm of eating, walking and pooping for her. She is very good, sleeps in a bed on the floor next to mine, and we walk our street a few times a day. I have left her in the laundry room a couple times now and she's just fine. I'm a little curious about her reaction to other dogs when we're out and about. I might have to take her to town and practice a bit. She gets worked up as we pass the neighbor's yard and dogs - hair on her back up, etc. I want her to be a kid that 'plays well with others'. Anyhow, she's beautiful and is settling in well. Thank you for your help and for bringing her up this way. Suzanne
Carrie Ann's Adventures with her first SNOW!!!!! Oh my gosh. She loves it. She scoops up a big snoot full and throws it in the air as far as her little body will let her and jumps up to catch it. I thought she liked the blowing leaves but i think the snow has the leaves beat all to heck. Wanted to let you know that she loves the Wellness so far. We have her about 95% switched over and she eats every bit of it at one setting. Little piggy leaves no morsels for later. Seems to not upset her tummy in the least. She is such a joy. Loves to curl in Dads legs for the nite and only gets up once to go potty. At 3 in the morning we let her go on pee pad. Too cold out there for the mama!!!!! She plays well. Not as much as I would like to see but she has her fun. Loves to lay on couch on her back with her head hanging off????? and get belly rubs. She is really happy to see us when we come home from work. She runs n' jumps at us til we pick her up and give big hugs and kisses. We just love her. Thank u so much for such a sweet bundle of joy. I cherish each and every kiss she gives me.

Sophie (formerly Lexie Lou)
As I am working on the computer she is sitting on my lap. She is the new love of my life, Jim and Jakes. I think Oreo could do without her but tolerates her. I can't say enough good things about her. She is adapting quite well to her new home. I still worry sometimes and check to make sure she is breathing since she will be in a deep sleep. We walk everyday the weather is good. She jumps, barks and scratches at the door because I can't get ready fast enough for her. She is also getting use to our extended family and doesn't bark as much when they come around. I took her to bunco last weekend and she was great. When she gets tired she has to be on my lap.

The boys wanted to let you know that they're doing great! They have adjusted well to their new home and
are adding many happy days to our lives. Potty training is coming along but I can't turn my back for a second. They'll get it eventually and I'll try to pay more attention, I promise. Now I'm working on putting together a sod area for my deck(in a kid's wading pool) so that they don't have to go downstairs to go out if I don't walk them. I think they'll like this better in the winter time.
Crate training is coming along great too. Smokie misses sleeping at his mom's head but since our cat, Gizmo, had first dibs, he has had to adjust. Both of the boys sleep together in one large crate and so far so good.
No accidents and we even get to sleep through the night now. The first week was like having newborns all over again and we're glad that's over.
They're eating well although Smokie(formerly Alex) likes to eat Bandit's (formerly Carlton) food too. This could be why he weighs 1.4 lbs more. They'e behaving like such good boys. We love the kisses. They're coming along on their social skills also. We go for long walks every day and they have went to visit the vet and went riding in the car many times.
They send their love, especially to Terri and Barb. We're forever grateful to you for raising such wonderful puppies. We're so glad we found your organization and can't wait to post pictures for you (if I ever figure out how to do this).
This forever family is very happy to be part of this wonderful group and we want to thank you again for bringing such joy to our lives.
