Description:

Romeo was adopted in February by a wonderful lady that wanted to give him a forever home.  He was well loved and cared for but then his new mama went to the Rainbow Bridge.  He was so lonely without her, so he came back to the Angels.  Won't you consider a wonderful little guy like me?

Meet Romeo.  He is looking for his Juliet. Romeo is 5 years old and 7 pounds.  His mom did not want him any more, she had him from a puppy but took him to the shelter.  He is so sweet.  He has a typical Chihuahua personality.  He is scared of strangers and other dogs until he gets to know them.  He will nip out of fear.  He is so far a one human dog.  He took less than a day to adjust to his foster home, loves his foster mom, sits on her lap and sleeps with her.  He gives really great kisses too.

Chihuahua
experience and a fenced yard are required. No children under any circumstances. Romeo likes to play with the younger dogs at his foster home and accepts strangers if they let him approach them first. He is getting along well with his foster dad but does not like young children. Romeo is being fostered in Indianapolis.

Please read our adoption policies thoroughly before applying to adopt.

Please click HERE to view our adoption policies and to complete our online application.

Unless otherwise stated in the profile, all of our foster dogs require a fenced in yard.

IPPRA DOES NOT SHIP ITS DOGS.  Please be advised that we do not transport.  You will be responsible for coming to pick up your new dog on adoption day.  The general location for each foster dog is listed in its profile.  Preference is given to local applicants.  Our Special Needs dogs (medical issues, seniors, puppy mill rescues, emotional issues) must be adopted close to their foster homes.

PLEASE NOTE - There are NO exceptions to filling out an application. Our dogs are in private foster homes, not a shelter facility. All of our rescue dogs are altered, up to date on vaccinations, flea-free and on heartworm prevention. We check references and do a home visit. Only an approved application may adopt one of our rescue dogs.
