Levi went to the groomer this week. He does not like this winter weather! Levi has cataracts and he seems to be able to see some during the day when there is more light. He is able to navigate through our kitchen and utility room quite well. He likes to wander around in the fenced yard if the weather is good. Levi does fine with female dogs but he has growled and nipped at male dogs. My son brought his male dogs home with him for Christmas and Levi marked everything that he could! After a day or so he was fine and settled down. Levi has had some urinary accidents in the house but not on a regular basis. He is a sweet dog that loves attention and to be snuggled.
8-10-08 Foster Mom Update
Levi is such a wonderful dog. He has been living with large and medium sized dogs without any problems.
He prefers a quiet house without a lot of activity. Levi loves attention and to be snuggled. He would do fine as the only dog.
He can see some during the daylight hours but does not do as well at night (cataracts).

My old parents dropped me off at a cat rescue when no one was home. They dropped me off and left. I am 10 years old, weigh nine pounds, and I am almost blind. I can see somethings my new Mom thinks because I do not run into things. I have found my place under the wing back chair and love to lay there most of the day. Now if you go somewhere I can go that would be great because I love to ride in a car. I have it good in my new foster home but, would love to find a forever home that would keep me and not drop me off again. That really scared me.
Levi is being fostered in NW Ohio. He requires a fenced yard.

The general location for each foster dog is listed in its profile. Preference is given to local applicants. Our Special Needs dogs (medical issues, seniors, puppy mill rescues, emotional issues) must be adopted close to their foster homes.
PLEASE NOTE - There are NO exceptions to filling out an application. Our dogs are in private foster homes, not a shelter facility. All of our rescue dogs are altered, up to date on vaccinations, flea-free and on heartworm prevention. We check references and do a home visit. Only an approved application may adopt one of our rescue dogs.
